Mission: To provide EECS graduate women with an environment in which to develop mentorships and friendships and to gain support and encouragement in completing their degree.
GW6 was founded in 2001 as a student group across the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. The group focuses on the personal and professional development of women in the EECS graduate program. We organize a variety of social and professional events throughout the year. These events are a great way to meet students from across the department.
For updates, mailing lists, and Facebook information please follow this link. Hope to see you at some of our events!
GW6 Research Summit: In 2019, we are hosting our first ever GW6 Research Summit! We will bring together women-identifying students, faculty, and staff from across EECS to learn more about one another's academic work. We look forward to joining together on September 25, 2019.
Thanks go to Leslie Kolodziejski, Janet Fischer, and past GW6 officers for their excellent counsel and to the EECS Department for their continuing financial support!
